Stockers Landscaping & Concrete isn’t your average landscaping company. We’re Evansville grown, with roots that run deep. Our story began over 50 years ago. We’ve grown alongside Evansville, fueled by the same unwavering commitment to quality and service that’s been our hallmark for five decades.
Andy Schmitz
Member/Manager
Andy has a BS in Landscape & Horticulture Design from Purdue University (BoilerUp!). With his degree, he has been able to expand his knowledge and experience through 15 plus years of working throughout Indiana. His experience ranges from plant knowledge to designing various size landscapes for residential, commercial and government jobs.
Spencer Redding
Member/Manager
Spencer is an Indiana University graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice. Spencer started out as a crew leader at Stocker’s Landscaping and has now transitioned into pouring concrete. Spencer is the head of the concrete division of Stocker’s Landscaping, specializing in textured concrete.
Our Story
Where It All Began
Decades before becoming a full-fledged landscaping company, Stocker’s began in 1959 as a seasonal business, bringing festive cheer to the Tri-State community with their homegrown and fresh-cut Christmas trees..
1982
In 1982, Stocker’s branched out! After years of cultivating beautiful Christmas trees, they expanded their expertise, opening Stocker’s Garden Center on St Joe Avenue in Evansville, IN. Decades of seasonal success blossomed into a year-round commitment to providing a vibrant selection of plants, flowers, and gardening supplies.
1996
1996 marks a new chapter: Stocker’s Garden Center closes and officially opens as Stocker’s Landscaping, a professional design and build firm.
2013
Stocker’s Landscaping catered to all green thumbs in 2013, launching a DIY division for customers who preferred to tackle their own landscaping projects.
2014
Stocker’s Landscaping wasn’t just growing beautiful landscapes, they were also earning accolades – voted “Best Landscaper/Landscape Company” by Evansville Courier & Press readers!
2014
Partnering with Keep Evansville Beautiful, Stockers re-designed and restored the downtown memorial garden on the corner of John St. & MLK Blvd.
2015
Stocker’s Landscaping reorganizes as Stocker’s Landscaping LLC, appointing Andy Schmitz as President and Spencer Redding as VP of Operations.
2016
Stocker’s Landscaping works with George Rodgers Clark National Historic Park & the West Side Improvement Association to re-design and restore Vincennes, IN river front and the west side of Evansville, IN.
2016
Stocker’s Landscaping receives “Best Landscape Company” from Evansville Courier & Press Readers Choice Awards.
2017
Stocker’s Landscaping LLC partners with Adam Commens to form a separate entity, ASA Environmental LLC, which provides services and goods to the federal and state government.
2018
Stocker’s Landscaping LLC partners with Neil Lynn Concrete Construction which pours everything from steps to parking lots, specializing in decorative textured concrete.
2020 – and Beyond
Stockers Landscaping and Neil Lynn Concrete expand by acquiring 6 acres of commercial property on St. Joe Avenue and construct a brand new headquarters. This significant move marks their entry into a new territory and paves the way for future growth.
With our recent expansion and new headquarters on St. Joe Avenue, we’re even more dedicated to providing exceptional landscaping and concrete services. Our goal is to be the Evansville area’s leading choice for all your outdoor design and hardscaping needs. We look forward to growing with you!
